I Want Does Not (Necessarily) Mean I Need
But do you need it? I want to be more, I would like to do more You just have to have it. 'X' would complete your life. Perhaps your collection. How can you go on without it? You cannot see life without 'X' in it. And in a significant place. It is the culmination of your life or so you think. It coaxes you on. The pull is very strong. How can you resist it? It takes over. It will not accept no as an answer. It has you in its grasp. It will not let go. The moment arrives. You have it. It is there for you. Yours. The excitement of the chase is now over. And you now have what you wanted. But it is not quite what you expected. It does not push the buttons you had hoped. Used for a short while 'X' is now another resident on your shelf or in the wardrobe - sitting there with all the other redundant, unwanted X's, Y's and Z's. You would like more - but were not satisfied. You have to now look elsewhere . . .
All best, Martin
