To Find Meaning, Understanding And Appreciation In Life Challenges Us All
What in life has meaning for us? Where do we look and what do we find? Where is purpose to be found? Is it in life's challenges and hurdles or just in the joy and the happiness? Is it an appreciation of what we have, what we are and what we are doing? Where does our understanding come from? Out of thin air, or built up over the years of our life and the experiences we have? And the contributions we make and the challenges we meet. And the purpose we find and the appreciation we have for all things, both big and small. We can look at home. Find the love and friendship, the companionship and joy of family life. The foundations of many a life - the family.
We can look in our place of employment. Find the sense of belonging with our colleagues and work team. And our interaction with other people. We can look at our leisure activities. The chance for friendship, for competition, for teamwork and solo effort. The opportunities to travel and meet new people. We can look at our holidays and rest time. The places we go, the people we see. The different languages, cultures, ways of life. The chance to see nature face to face. Getting away from things. What have we forgotten? Oh yes ourselves. Last here but not least. In fact the most important, for without us is there any of the other categories? All these areas can bring hope, energy, meaning and purpose into our lives. They can all challenge us. They can all present hurdles and obstacles. They can all bring joy and sadness, excitement and the ordinary, success and failures. Much is down to interpretation and perception, awareness and acceptance, appreciation and understanding. And what one is normally used too. Experiences galore. Opportunities abound. Wonders discovered, insights uncovered. Values questioned. Design and purpose brought home to us. On these meaning pages we will be looking at different aspects of those things that can make or break us, can help us along or hinder our progress, can be welcoming to life and others or put us in a league of our own.
