Control Your Mind - Reasoning And Attention Will Be Time Well Spent
How do we view our mind? Our friend, our foe? Our companion or our general? Our boss or our assistant? Does it determine our role in life? Can we control it or does it control us? Is our role that important to us? Should we develop our powers of reasoning and attention to be able to better focus on what is important in life for us? Be aware of many things while you are trying to float gracefully and smoothly through the challenges and experiences of life. Know that you can succeed in what you do. Why does it not stop giving us help and instructions, seemingly every moment of each day.
Who is in control here, you or it? Or is it a matter of where our attention is focused? Do you think it helps or hinders us? Is it a plaything or are we the plaything? Lots of questions. And where are the answers? Much has been written about our minds. I will not be filling your heads with philosophical or intellectual fodder here - I find those books difficult to read and even harder to understand. Have we ever thought about the role of the mind and how it affects us each day? How we decide to do things? How we think and act? Or is it just a reasoning tool? If not perhaps now is as good a time to start as any? Personally I view my 'it' as a friend, who can go off the rails every now and again. It can be quick and helpful or tedious, repetitive and boring. It can lead me or be led, and it seems my choice as to which. Can we change our approach? Sure, but who decides on the new direction. Should we let ourselves be lead this way or that, or does it have an agenda all of its own - our subjugation? On these pages we will be looking at different aspects so that we can find our way through some of the myths and secrets, some of the ideas and theories. And help us to get through life in a more balanced, content and fulfilled fashion. Please feel free to join me on this journey of discovery. Let us move forward together. Happy reading.
