Preparation Is The Key To Many An Activity
Do you keep ahead of yourself? Preparation is the key. We have all heard that. We all think we understand that. We think we all know that. But do we do it? Like when an electrical item goes wrong e.g. a DVD player, what do we do? We play around. We have a fiddle. We hope we can fix it. We might swear. Why is it happening now we might ask? We hope for the best. When all else fails, and we have nearly given up (hope), we consult the manual. That is getting ready but in reverse, is it not? Getting things sorted and ready is the practical way to take our life forward. As in the saying 'proper prior planning prevents poor performance'. Perhaps that is what the 'pre' of prepare really means? So this is what we need to do with new tasks or projects. But why not try that with half finished, hard to conclude situations, too? So good advice is to put the effort in - ahead of schedule. And know that practice helps no end, too.
All best, Martin
